Octopoda was a fun one to draw. It started with a VERY rough sketch that it quite embarrassing. But I think it’s important to show. Once I had worked out the repeat I drew it out, being very careful that the arms would link in the right places.
Then I scanned it and repeated it in Photoshop. A process that has taken me years to get fast and efficient with.
After the design is repeated so it starts to look like wallpaper I added the colour in and started to see what works for this design.
