Bombe’s Fernery
Bombe’s Fernery was one of the first designs I did for my collection. I had to figure out how the curls of ferns would connect on the repeat and then paint up the large repeat. This took a couple of weeks to paint as I didn’t want to cut any corners.
Then I scanned the artwork and separated the colours onto different layers. A simple design when you first look at it but one of the harder ones to repeat and balance.
The design really came to life when I added the spore dots, I knew it would be one of my favourites. I am currently planning which room to out it in.
